A week or two back, Pirate and I stopped in at the Lanesplitter Pizza on Lake Park to have a slice before going to see Inception. Lanesplitter shows art by local artists on their walls, and the current exhibit is by local artist Lisa Sindorf, whose work we really liked.

And today, when I finally get around to checking out her website, I discover she also has an LJ, where she posts images of a lot of her work. Yay! Check it out: lemmingsolution.

I love the print "Lake Merritt at Sunset", visible in this LJ post, and I really want to get a copy of the print "Night Heron and Lantern", as seen in this LJ post.

How is Lanesplitter? (okay, it is probably good if you went there) I only noticed they had taken over the spot last week while waiting in line for the carpool; it had run through a couple of pretty bad pizza or ribs places over the last decade so I stopped even looking at the place.

It's pretty good — at this point, one of maybe two or three East Bay pizza places I've tried that I'm willing to eat at again. (The other is currently Rotten City in Emeryville, but they don't deliver to where we are. Or even downtown Oakland.)

The crust is super-thin and the sauce is reasonably flavorful. The Heartstopper is tasty but very rich.

Thin crust sounds awesome. There aren't many places around that do that well. Thanks, I'll give it a try!
