Serendipity strikes again. While clicking around on various links related to savory chocolate recipes, I came across a suggestion for a variation on roasted cauliflower:
Roasted cauliflower with chili flakes and cocoa nibs is a good combination. It might also work with unsweetened cocoa powder, perhaps make a mix with chili powder rather than flakes and toss the florets with it before roasting.
Ooh. Hungry now.

Practically every non-beverage is improved by chili flakes.

And cardamom. And turmeric. And.. dang it, I need to move to India.

Some beverages, too — hot chocolate with chile is very tasty, not to mention warming.

Mmm. I'm not a chocolate fiend the way Pirate is, but add chile to it and it becomes much more interesting to me.
