There were never any "good old days" — they are today, they are tomorrow
a dilemma

Do I save some of this cardamom roasted cauliflower for the monkey to have when he gets home from work after I've gone to bed? Or do I tell him that it was not a complete success, the recipe needs tweaking, and he'll be better off waiting to try it next time?

You say, "Babe. That cardomom roasted cauliflower was so damn good that I KNEW you'd be mad if I had the opportunity and appetite to finish it while it was fresn and passed it up. It was so good that I'm making it again tomorrow. For now, I'm going to do things to you that would make a cauliflower blush. Get nekkid."

I think the monkey would like the way you think!

As it turns out, what I say is probably going to be along the lines of "*burrrp* There's lemon rice, roasted cauliflower, and dal in the fridge. Also carrots, but I know you won't eat those. Enjoy. Don't hug me too tight when you come to bed."
