We have two new cats... just not yet

Pirate and I went to the Oakland Animal Shelter today looking to adopt two cats, and fell madly in love with these two. They're a mother and daughter pair who were surrendered by their owner just yesterday.

The white one with dilute calico patches (on the right in most of these photos) is the daughter (about 8 months old), and the white one with grey tabby patches is the mother (about a year and a half or so).

They both need to be spayed, so we won't be able to bring them home until Friday afternoon. Can't wait.
