There's been a quote that I've liked ever since I saw it in someone's sigline on eGullet, but I never knew where it came from. Recently, Barbara of the blog Tigers & Strawberries quoted it in a post, including the source. Yay!

For the foodies in the house:
Tomatoes and oregano make it Italian; wine and tarragon make it French. Sour cream makes it Russian; lemon and cinnamon make it Greek. Soy sauce makes it Chinese; garlic makes it good.
