Lexi in the woods

gainfully employed again - woo hoo!

Just started a 6-month temp assignment and things are looking promising. The people I've met so far seem nice, the work is not onerous, it's within walking distance (a longish walk) or biking distance from home, and because it's a 6-month assignment, I qualify for health insurance right away, instead of having to wait 3 months or however long it would be otherwise.

<smug> When I went in for the assessment on Word and Excel, I got 30 of 30 right on the Excel section, and 27 right on the Word section (and I'd quibble about a couple of those if it made a difference), even though it's been a full year since I last used either program. Plus I set the new record for fastest test completion of all the folks they've tested. spiritualmonkey said, "There you go, screwing up the curve again." Heh. It was a nice little boost to the self-esteem, which has been fairly low since the end of my last job. </smug>

Of course, this means I'm going to have much (MUCH) less time available. I'll probably prune my friends list a bit (this is NOT PERSONAL and DOESN'T MEAN I THINK YOU'RE BORING, btw) and do a major pruning of my Bloglines account.

Things are looking significantly more cheerful than they were a few weeks ago. Wellbutrin is a wonderful thing.
