By my math, they've donated more than a quarter of a million dollars in playground renovations.

Kirk's weekly gift: Kirk Douglas tries out a slide at the Lillian Elementary School playground, the 400th school playground he has renovated in Los Angeles. The 91-year-old actor and his wife, Anne, have donated a $25,000 renovation each week for 11 years.

It's a little bit more than that.

$25,000 x 52 x 11= $14.3 Million

However, $25,000 x 400 is only (ha!) $10 Million.

Thanks, Kirk, for thinking of the children.

Definitely! One of the thoughts that popped into my mind when I saw the photo was "Forget that silly, commodified Red Hat Society business — when I'm 91, I want to be wearing red socks like Kirk."
